Farmington Lodge #192 A.F&A.M 134 E. Fort St. Farmington, IL 61531

The City of Farmington's 4th of July celebration is now sponsored by the Farmington Masonic Lodge #192. It was non existant until the Masons stepped in. W. Bro. Matt Ulm organized the entire event and it was a major success and set the foundation for an event that is certain to grow each and every year. This year the celebration consisted of a parade in which several of the city's civic leaders were included as well as several classic automobiles, the American Legion color guard, Boy Scout Troops, and to top it off, a float full of Masons driven by W. Bro. Bob Gilstrap. Also included in the celebration was an event at the James Reed park in Farmington which consisted of a collection of games sponsored by the Boy Scouts, jumping gyms provided by M&K parties, a food stand provided by the Farmington Presbyterian Church and an information stand that was sponsored by the Masons to provide awareness and answer any questions regarding membership in our wonderful fraternity. It was manned by Bro. Pat O'Brian and Bro. Ted Anderson. Sevral questions were asked and petitions were handed out. 1 petitioner filled his petition out on the spot! The entire celebration was a success, everyone cooperated and did their part including Mother Nature. W. Bro. Matt Ulm(pictured above) did a great job and it is bretheren like this that keeps Freemasonry strong!

The Farmington Masonic Lodge #192 once again had a booth at the Spoon River Scenic Drive located at Farmington West. It was once again a huge success! The first day we ran out of beans by 12:30. The brothers then scrambled and were back up and running by 2p. This could not have been done without the dedication and volunteer work of the bretheren. Farmington Lodge would like to thank all that took time out of their busy weekends to devote a couple hours to serve the lodge. Special thanks to Worshipful Master Tony Smear who tirelessly cooked all the ham and beans and with his expertise guaranteed that there were 239 beans in every batch, for 1 more would make two-farty!
